Besides all the specific media formats in the pre-study media, we had to work on our own project throughout the pre-study. The theme of my project is my own headspace, and indirectly, that of others. The idea behind the illustration I created is that everyone has a core around which they build throughout their life. I chose to ultimately use the form of a city because a city simultaneously represents order and chaos, and because a city will always expand. Incidentally, there are different parts to a city, such as a slum and a neighborhood with many businesses. These two things can represent certain aspects of life, such as a slum representing unhealthy habits, insecurities, and fears, and a neighborhood with many businesses representing your responsibilities, finances, and social interactions.

the first pictures are some research I did, and at the bottom you’ll see the final product
